Phase 1

• Bring together municipal parks authorities, local conservation NGOs, and community climate advocates to recognize the interconnected benefits of urban and peri-urban green spaces for birds, residents, and climate mitigation.

• Highlight case studies showing measurable biodiversity, social well-being, and carbon capture outcomes.

Phase 2

• Invite parks departments and local NGOs to publicly endorse non-binding “Triple-Benefit Nature Commitments,” pledging to prioritize conservation and restoration in identified hotspot areas.

• Encourage adopters to implement simple, low-cost measures (native tree plantings, pollinator gardens, bird-friendly landscaping) and share observed outcomes on biodiversity, human well-being, and microclimate improvements.
