Phase 1

• Engage food safety authorities, public health organizations, and consumer groups to recognize widespread microplastic exposure through common protein products.

• Encourage dialogue with manufacturers and retailers to understand sources and potential mitigation, raising awareness among both industry and consumers.

Phase 2

• Invite protein product manufacturers and packaging suppliers to publicly acknowledge microplastic contamination risks and share educational materials with customers.

• Encourage adopters to pilot small-scale strategies (improved filtration, alternative packaging, ingredient review) and report observations to public health or environmental NGOs.
