• To engage regional planners, municipal authorities, and environmental NGOs in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region to recognize gaps in climate adaptation readiness built into spatial plans.
• Bring together SEA officers, urban planners, local civil society and community associations to review existing spatial plans and discuss how adaptation to climate change is or isn’t embedded.
• Invite municipalities to publicly commit to a non binding “CCA Indicator Addendum,” where they add or refine adaptation relevant indicators in existing or upcoming spatial plans.
• Encourage local planners to publish concise indicator sheets (e.g. green space per capita, flood risk zones, impervious surface share) for public review and regular monitoring.
• Promote peer learning: encourage regional planners to share their updated indicator sets, experiences, and lessons—enabling other regions or municipalities to replicate the approach.
