Phase 1

Involvement experts and activists in the discussion around the ethical implications of human-robot collaboration in manufacturing.

Raise awareness about the challenges and opportunities presented by H-R collaboration, particularly in terms of human safety, well-being, and dignity.

Launch a campaign that highlight human-robot interaction’s potential benefits and pitfalls, with a focus on ethical concerns (e.g., workers’ psychological well-being, job transformation).

Generate public interest and conversation around the need for ethical frameworks in H-R collaboration without presenting them as mandatory regulations.

Phase 2

Mobilize manufacturing companies to adopt stricter ethical guidelines for human-robot collaboration. These guidelines should integrate principles of safety, liability, and human dignity, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR) and fairness in AI/ML algorithms. Push for accountability mechanisms in corporate governance that monitor adherence to these ethical principles.

[optional] The position paper to relevant government bodies, urging them to consider future regulation but emphasizing the importance of stakeholder collaboration and input before any legal measures are taken.
