Phase 1

• To raise public awareness among consumers, health organisations, beverage producers and regulators about widespread microplastic contamination in drinks sold in France.

• Share findings showing MPs in all beverage types (water, beer, soft drinks, etc.) — linking contamination to packaging and cap materials.

• Encourage open discussion about potential risks and the need for transparency in beverage manufacturing and packaging.

Phase 2

• Invite beverage producers and distributors to openly publish “Microplastic Transparency Reports” listing measured MP levels by drink type and packaging.

• Encourage them to adopt voluntary best-practices: e.g. pre-cleaning or redesigning bottle-caps, experimenting with safer closure materials, providing consumer guidance on reducing MP intake.
